Eatin’ Good in the Neighborhood
Graphical representation of dinner with Jackson borrowed from theghet.com
Chef Peter Jackson, who used to run the charming Montclair restaurant Canvas, has taken his chef’s togs on the road with Canvas Underground’s The Omnivore’s Table event. On March 16th, somewhere in North Oakland, a gourmet dinner will be served by Jackson and company with none of the traditional menu flipping.
Instead, participants can plan to dine on braised berkshire pork belly, parsnip and carrot soups, smoked tea cured loch duarte salmon (sat that three times fast), and chocolate meringue tarte. Sounds good, doesn’t it?
Tickets are $50 and diners should bring their own wine. Seats are limited.
