Sweet! LuLu Rae Confections on Piedmont Ave.
Apparently, it takes two to pay rent at Tango Gelato’s Piedmont Ave. location. Rockridge’s LuLu Rae Confections has moved in with the purveyor of icy treats, bringing their special sweets. Locally produced goodies include XOX truffles. Get your sugar fixes all under one roof at 4184 Piedmont Ave.

We stopped by for gelato as they were putting the sign up last weekend, and chatted with the manager (? or maybe just a very knowledgeable employee!) who said that the owners of the two shops had been friends for years and LuLu Rae’s has actually been selling Tango’s gelato at the College Ave. shop for some time–so this is just formalizing that arrangement by reciprocating. He also noted that they now have coffee, hot chocolate, and (yumm!) iced hot chocolate, too. Sounds like a good move!
